It’s a few days away from Easter, but I have my table all ready for my guests. My theme this year started out as blue and burlap. Then I found THIS post from The Red Painted Cottage that I got a little carried away with! The post is a simple birds nest, with speckled blue eggs under a cloche. I don’t have a big cloche, plus I already had a centerpiece (similar to THIS one that I got from my favorite place [Pier1♥]) last year. So I wanted to incorporate the look on a smaller scale, and I do have these little domed cupcake stands. So went with that, then got the idea for the monogram place cards.
Under the glass domes I used some Spanish and Reindeer Moss that I picked up at the Dollar Tree for the nests. The eggs are these little eggs I ordered from Amazon. I plan to switch them out for some malted milk eggs as a treat for my guests. As close as it is to Easter you could probably just use the malted eggs.
For the place cards I used some premade burlap letters I picked up from Walmart. I used some more of the Spanish and Reindeer moss for the nest. The eggs I made out of polymer clay speckled with some bronze acrylic paint.
On the side table I used this metal lantern along with, this nest, and some more eggs that I made from polymer clay. The nest itself has eggs in it, but they are tucked sweetly down in the nest and show up as well as I had hoped in the lantern. I had some clay left over so I just fashioned a few bigger eggs and set them down in the nest.
